National Tour Association 2024 Travel Exchange

Outside a full book of appointments, the Wyoming Office of Tourism, along with Visit Cheyenne and the National Museum of Wildlife Art presented a sales mission where operators were invited to bring their groups to discover Wyoming’s story. Close to 25 companies were there, with many questions following the presentation. In true Wyoming stye, the Wyoming Office of Tourism also set up chairs around a campfire and invited tour operators to grab a coffee mug and and share their “That’s WY”. It was fascinating to hear all the reasons groups come to Wyoming, or why they want to, with the number one reason being the people. Of course that was not a surprise to WOT.

Amy Larsen, Destination Program Manager, was recognized for her time on the NTA Board of Directors as she wrapped up her term. She also was asked to speak on a panel about how to host a “Fantastic Fam Trip” as Wyoming has a great reputation for hosting some of the best. Amy credits success to great partners working together. This spring the Wyoming Office of Tourism will host a “Rendezvous in Wyoming” familiarization tour where we celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Rendezvous Era in this area and share the story and culture of the Mountain Man. Several companies are already looking at ways to incorporate this great piece of Wyoming history into their itineraries.
