Travel Wyoming Trip Planner Resources for DMOs
Travelers have a new way to plan their trip to Wyoming and you and your local businesses have a new way to be discovered. The Travel Wyoming Trip Planner tool helps visitors discover what to do in Wyoming – whether they’re planning six months ahead or they’re just six miles away The easy-to-use tool, available on TravelWyoming.com or in the app store, makes finding places to stay, restaurants, activities and so much more easier to find.

Wyoming Office of Tourism wins HSMAI Adrian awards.
The Wyoming Office of Tourism’s WY Responsibly campaign took home the gold and platinum HSMAI Adrian awards in the corporate responsibility category at this year. To add to the celebration the Yellowstone flooding recovery efforts received a silver award as well.

Announcing the Destination Development Program
The Wyoming Office of Tourism unveiled the Destination Development Program to DMO’s and Lodging Tax Boards on December 15. The Destination Development program is the latest installment to help Wyoming destinations develop their communities to be visitor-ready and to have the capacity to leverage the visitor economy.

Specifically, partners are more likely to be found on Google Search Results Pages, if they have a listing or event in the WOT Partner Portal.In this case study we discovered the following: Since January 1, 2022, travelwyoming.com has generated over 75,000 organic sessions for partners Over 1,200 queries showing up on the first page of Google within the past 3 months Visibility on Google means increasing visibility for your destination Helpful Hints: Partners that saw the most benefit had descriptive images with alt text, helpful descriptions, and links to social media platforms Upload your events through the Partner Portal to qualify for Google’s Event Rich Snippets and voice search.

Wyoming Named Best State to Work in Hospitality
HotelTechReport, a hotel software company, released a new study highlighting the best state to work in hospitality, with Wyoming named #1. HotelTechReport analyzed official data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics on employment, salaries, and vacancies in all hospitality jobs across the 50 states to see which state was best for working in hospitality. 71754

Piper Singer Cunningham was promoted to Communications Sr. Manager. She will strategically plan, develop and execute all communications initiatives for WOT through media relationships, leveraging content, and leading a creative team.

WOT Wins Mercury Award at 2022 ESTO Conference
The Wyoming Office of Tourism won the Mercury Award for Community Building at this year’s ESTO conference. The award was awarded to WOT for building the WY Responsibly campaign as a vital resource for distributing information related to COVID-19, supporting local communities and businesses and spreading sustainable travel messaging.

Brand USA Travel Week
During December 7th and 8th, Jim Wollenburg and James Scoon met with a number of Tour Operators and travel companies from Japan, South Korea, India, and Australia. Totaling 24 pre-scheduled appointments, our office was able to connect with representatives from these markets and spread the greatness that is Wyoming.
