2023 Salute to Team Wyoming Breakfast

What a great 2023 PRCA season for Team Wyoming.

The 2023 Salute to Team Wyoming Breakfast was held Friday, Dec. 8 at Resorts World in Las Vegas, NV. Governor Mark and First Lady Jennie Gordon joined the Wyoming Office of Tourism Board of Directors, staff and over 400 attendees to honor the five Team Wyoming members who made it to the National Finals Rodeo, along with the 27 bucking horses and bulls owned by five Wyoming Stock Contractors.

What a great 2023 PRCA season for Team Wyoming.

  • Saddle Bronc Rider Brody Cress from Hillsdale finished #2 in the NFR average and #4 in the World Standings.
  • Bareback Rider Cole Reiner from Buffalo finished #3 in the NFR average and #7 in the World Standings.
  • Saddle Bronc Rider Tanner Butner from Daniel finished tied at #5 in the NFR average and #9 in the World Standings.
  • Bullfighter Dusty Tuckness from Meeteetse was invited back to the NFR for the 15th time and also nominated for Bullfighter of the year.
  • Bullfighter Nathan Jestes from Douglas was invited back for the NFR for his 5th time and was also nominated for Bullfighter of the year.
  • Saddle Bronc Rider Chet Johnson from Sheridan was injured for most of this season. He has been the rough-stock rep on the PRCA Board of Directors for three years and this year was asked to be on the NFR committee taking on similar duties.
  • Bareback Rider Seth Hardwick from Ranchester was injured most of the 2023.

Cowboy College Marketing

Team Wyoming continues to support student athletes on the rodeo teams at:

  • Casper College, Central Wyoming College, Easter Wyoming College, Gillette College, Laramie County Community College, Northwest College, Sheridan College and the University of Wyoming.

  • The teams had a great start to the 2023-2024 season with both the Gillette College Men’s and Women’s teams leading the Central Rocky Mountain Region in standings.
  • The Northwest College men’s team is currently #3 in the Big Sky Region.
