Dynamic Visualizations (DV) are a tool to highlight the significance of visitation to a specific area over a set amount of time. WOT has worked with the Wyoming State Fair & Rodeo, along with the Sheridan WYO Rodeo in the past on DV’s to show visitor count, dispersion, how visitors get to and from their home to the area and where else they visit during their stay. At surface level, this is an opportunity to show how impactful events and attractions can be for your local tourism industry and local economy.

Diving deeper, DV’s can help on a larger scale. Between showing local restaurants, stores, gas stations and other establishments where visitors frequent during their stay, DV’s give partners across the state a broader view of the routing options that visitors take across the state. This will give partners a look at how visitors will historically travel to and from the event and give them the ability to tailor marketing initiatives to visitors passing through their town – enticing them to stay an extra night or spend a few extra hours in their community.

WOT is interested in facilitating more DV’s across Wyoming. By taking a more in-depth look at special events in your community, DV’s can assist you with showing key metrics from the events and if they are moving the needle throughout the year as expected. With the work and assistance through WOT’s contract with Zartico, there is an opportunity to showcase events, attractions and more to local stakeholders and partners across Wyoming, which will in turn help everyone with highlighting Wyoming’s visitor economy.
