The Wyoming SBDC Network is a statewide business advising service funded through a partnership between the University of Wyoming, the Wyoming Business Council, and the U.S. Small Business Administration. This group provides no-cost, confidential business advising and technical expertise to help entrepreneurs start, grow, or exit their ventures. The network offers specialized programs tailored to key operational needs including: business planning and financial analysis, market research and digital marketing analysis, and much more. Additionally, the network guides high-growth and technology-focused startups through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) funding processes, helping local innovators capture non-dilutive federal grants and contracts. Government contracting advising is also offered through the Wyoming APEX Accelerator.

Services are available to any for-profit small business or aspiring entrepreneur located within or planning to operate in Wyoming, ranging from solo side-hustles and early-stage startups to long-established enterprises looking to expand or navigate succession planning. Advising is delivered on a non-discriminatory basis by regional directors and subject-matter experts placed across the state, ensuring local access to specialized guidance regardless of county or industry sector. Whether a business owner requires one-on-one advising on financial projections, guidance on human resources and payroll compliance, or help scaling their operations, any Wyoming-based small business entity can leverage these resources at zero cost.
